Thrive Holdings just raised two billion dollars at a twelve billion dollar valuation. SoftBank, D1 Capital and Altimeter put up the money. Here is the part that matters. Thrive is not building software. It buys accounting firms and I T shops outright, then rebuilds how they work around OpenAI models. And OpenAI owns a piece of the buyer. It took a stake in December and sends its own engineers on site. So far that is seventy plus businesses. Fifty accounting firms under a platform called Current. About twenty I T companies under Shield. One agent built on Codex has processed over seven thousand tax returns at ninety eight percent accuracy. Watch the headcount, not the revenue. If professionals per firm does not fall, this is just a normal roll up with better slides.
