Wonderful just raised $550 million, and its valuation more than doubled to 5 billion dollars in under six months. Insight Partners led the round, but the strange name on the cap table is Salesforce. Wonderful builds what it calls an AI operating system, a layer that coordinates agents and workflows across an entire company instead of one AI tool per department that can't talk to the others. It's model-agnostic, runs on any cloud including on-premise, and that's exactly why Salesforce backing it is odd, since it competes conceptually with Salesforce's own Agentforce. The likely read, Salesforce would rather have a seat at the table of whichever coordination layer wins than watch the category form without them. Enterprises spent years buying scattered AI point tools. Now investors are betting big on whoever ties them all together.
