Nvidia wants into Perplexity. The Information reports Nvidia is in talks to invest in the AI answer engine's next round, at a valuation north of thirty billion dollars. That's up from twenty billion a year ago. Perplexity's revenue tripled in the meantime, from under two fifty million to over seven fifty million annualized. But here's the pattern. This is Nvidia's third move like this in under a year. It invested in Groq in December. It signed a six billion dollar license deal with Poolside in August. Now it wants equity in an answer engine. Nvidia sells the chips, funds the labs that buy them, and backs the apps built on top too. Nothing's signed yet. But if this closes, it's not one bet. It's a pattern.
