Velaura AI just raised 110 million dollars and crossed a billion dollar valuation, on a Series A, for a company most people have never heard of. Here's the bet. Data centers aren't running out of chips anymore, they're running out of electricity and cooling capacity. Velaura's product, Titan Core, is a silicon design platform that claims to cut AI accelerator power draw roughly in half, reclaiming about 500 watts on a typical 1000 watt GPU. And this isn't just a slide deck promise. The underlying technology is already running in production across more than 30 million shipped chips. The company was formerly known as Auradine, its leadership came from Apple, Nvidia, Google, and Qualcomm, and it's already talking to multiple hyperscalers. If power really is the next bottleneck in AI infrastructure, this is where investors are starting to place their bets.
