XPeng's robotics subsidiary Dogotix closed a $900 million-plus funding round at a post-money valuation over $6.3 billion, the largest private embodied-intelligence raise in China to date, to fund mass production of its IRON humanoid robot by the end of 2026.

XPeng just spun out its robotics arm, and investors piled in. Dogotix raised over nine hundred million dollars at a six point three billion dollar valuation. IDG Capital led it. Tencent and Alibaba both joined as strategic backers. XPeng's own executives put in money personally too. The robot is called IRON. It runs on three of XPeng's own chips, twenty two hundred fifty TOPS of on-device compute, seventy six degrees of freedom in the body. Mass production is targeted for the end of this year. But here's the twist. XPeng's stock fell almost seven percent on the news anyway. Investors don't always reward a capital-intensive new bet, even a record-setting one.
