Fifteen startups disclosed funding between Oct 5 and Oct 11, 2026, and the rounds add up to about $812M. The week was lopsided: Oxide's $445M Series D, announced Oct 9, accounts for roughly 55% of that total on its own.

Oxide's $445M is 55% of the week

Oxide Computer Company builds rack-scale on-premises cloud computers that enterprises own and run themselves. Eclipse led the Series D, with Atreides Management, AMD Ventures, US Innovative Technology Fund (USIT), Riot Ventures and Jane Street also in. The company says it reached profitability earlier this year and scaled manufacturing 20x in 12 months; the round is working capital for components and manufacturing.

Why did AI infrastructure take $535M of the $812M?

Three rounds sit in the infrastructure and chips group: Oxide ($445M), Mecka AI ($60M) and KONST ($30M). Together that is $535M, about 66%. Mecka AI records how people handle physical objects with its own multi-sensor capture hardware and sells the result as training data for robots; its Series B, led by Sequoia Capital, scales that data and its commercial robot deployments. KONST, based in Taipei, operates AI compute for large enterprises, and its ADATA Technology-led Series B funds a data center buildout across Asia.

Six agent and app startups share $150.3M

This group is the busiest by count: Stuut ($52.5M), Vesta ($30M), Melius ($25M), OneByZero ($20M), Pandektes (about $15.8M) and GUDEA ($7M). None tops $55M, and the group totals $150.3M, about 19% of the week.

The money mostly goes to selling into existing workflows. Stuut runs order-to-cash work for enterprises, says more than 150 companies use it, and raised its Insight Partners-led Series B ten months after its Series A. Vesta puts AI agents inside mortgage loan origination and says revenue grew more than 12x in twelve months. OneByZero, in Singapore, took its first external funding to grow its engineering teams and open in Japan.

Defense and space: Fortastra and Kapta Space

Two Series A rounds, $30M for Fortastra and $24M for Kapta Space, make $54M in defense and space. Fortastra builds maneuverable spacecraft that hold position near satellites to watch for and respond to threats; First In led, and the money funds high-rate manufacturing after its Watchdog V0 mission. Kapta Space, in Seattle, builds steerable radar payloads for satellites; Washington Harbour Partners led, and the round scales production for classified moving target indication contracts.

Which investors showed up more than once?

Three names repeat across the fifteen rows. Sequoia Capital led Mecka AI's $60M Series B and also backed Healthleap's $38M seed and Series A. M12 appears in both Mecka AI and Stuut. Andreessen Horowitz appears in both Stuut and Vesta.

By stage, the week had one Series D, four Series B and six Series A rounds. Developer tools took $30M, health and bio $38M, cybersecurity $4.7M.
